The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF) International

The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF) International was founded in 1970 by parents of children with diabetes. Their mission: to find a cure for the disease within their children's lifetime through the support of research. Commitment to this mission by JDF will be more than $55 million this year, for a cumulative total of over $340 million-more money for diabetes research than any other nonprofit, nongovernmental health agency in the world. The Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland serves the community as an advocate in the management, prevention, and cure of diabetes.

Since 1954, the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland (DAGC) has served Northeast Ohio as the primary source of education, research and advocacy for the prevention and treatment of diabetes. As a local and independent organization, not affiliated with any national group, DAGC is fighting the growing diabetes epidemic within its own community.
