RACI physicians Joseph Coney and Hernando Zegarra, along with Chris Brown, MD recently presented their research on “Results of photodynamic therapy with verteporfin for the treatment of central serous chorioretinopathy.”  Dr. Brown made the presentation on behalf of the group at the National Medical Association (NMA) Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly held in Orlando, Florida on August 1, 2010.

The NMA’s Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly is a conference devoted to medical science and African American Health.  Currently, Dr. Coney is serving as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the NMA and is also Chair of the Retina Section and Councilor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology Council.
