Dr. Novak received his BA and MD degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his ophthalmology and retinal training at the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  Dr. Novak was recognized in Cleveland Magazine's "Best Doctors in America" list for 2011.

His principal areas of interest include retinal and vitreous surgery and the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal tears and detachments.  Dr. Novak also participates in ongoing research studies as a principal investigator and investigator.
