Summary : to compare the effectiveness of Macugen to Photodynamic Laser Therapy (PDT) to prevent vision loss from abnormal blood vessels in the eye (CNV) from angioid streaks & other uncommon conditions complicated by CNV

Eligibility Criteria:
Inclusion Criteria
- Included conditions: ocular histoplasmosis,multifocal choroiditis, birdshot choroiditis, serpiginous/helicoid choroidopathy, choroidal rupture, choroidal osteoma, idiopathic CNV, Best’s vitelliform dystrophy, fundus flavimaculatus, choroideremia, rubella retinopathy, toxocara canis, ocular toxoplasmosis, sarcoidosis, Harada’s disease, choroidal melanocytic nevus, optic nerve drusen, CNV complicating thermal laser treatment, blunt trauma
- Angioid Streaks of any etiology with secondary subfoveal CNV
- SE best correction of 20/40 or worse
- Check with study coordinator for other study inclusion criteria
Exclusion Criteria
- More than 1 previous PDT treatment
- PDT treatment done within 3 months- must wait to enroll after the 3 month period
