What To Expect At Your Appointment

Dr. Coney performs an exam

The initial consultation performed at Retina Associates will be different from eye examinations you have had previously.  Our physicians are vitreo-retinal specialists which means their focus is to look inside your eye at the vitreous, or jelly-like substance inside the eye, and the retina, which is the back wall of your eye responsible for vision.

  • Please plan to be in our office for approximately 3 hours on your initial visit.
  • This will allow time for a thorough history, dilation of the pupils, diagnostic testing, and , if needed, the initiation of treatment
  • Most of the procedures that may be recommended to treat your condition can be performed by the doctor right in our office.
  • We will try to accomplish as much as possible in a single visit, so as to limit the number of return visits to our office.

You can be assured that Retina Associates will not charge a "facility fee" at any of our offices.
