L.J. Singerman, MD speaks at special event to honor Dr. Arnall Patz

Dr.  Singerman is co-chairman of a committee for a new endowed professorship in memory of Dr. Arnall Patz at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. On October 8, he spoke on behalf of the committee at a special event at Wilmer to honor Dr. Patz’s legacy. Dr. Patz, who was Dr. Singerman’s mentor during his retinal training at Wilmer, was chairman of ophthalmology at that institution and, during his extraordinary career, received many honors, including the presidency of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and, most notably, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in this country.
