Medical Receptionists

Retina Associates of Cleveland Inc., one of Ohio’s largest private Ophthalmology practices is currently seeking full-time medical receptionists.  We currently have an opening in our Beachwood office and an opening for our West Side offices, including Middleburg Heights and Westlake.

This position will include scheduling appointments, electronic filing, operating a multi- line phone system, checking-in/checking-out patients, verifying medical insurance information as well as other tasks assigned on an as needed basis. We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and one that can take and follow directions with minimal error.

Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Some Saturdays required. Ability to work as part of a team in a very fast paced environment while maintaining professional interaction is required.

Billing Specialist/Charge Poster

Duties include:

Reconciliation of charges involving reviewing charges to confirm accuracy and then releasing them.

Previous Experience/Skills Must Include:

  • Medical insurance billing terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding
  • Strong 10-key and typing skills
  • Experienced with Word, Excel, and PDF formats
  • Working with Allscripts Practice Management software preferred
  • Ability to understand EMR chart information
  • Must be able to consistently manage a high volume of work
  • Must be an independent, quick learner in a fast pace environment with minimal supervision/direction
  • Ability to meet monthly deadlines
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Capable of managing difficult phone calls with professionalism and diplomacy at all times
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

 

Denials/Billing Specialist

Duties include:

  • Working insurance denials and submitting insurance appeals
  • Working clearinghouse insurance rejections and failed claims
  • Following up on unpaid insurance claims
  • Patient account collections
  • Answering patient phone calls

Previous Experience/Skills Must Include:

  • Medical insurance billing terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding
  • Insurance denials experience preferred
  • Strong 10-key and typing skills
  • Working with Allscripts Practice Management software preferred
  • Ability to understand EMR chart information
  • Must be able to consistently manage a high volume of work

Ophthalmic Technicians

Retina Associates of Cleveland, Inc., one of Ohio’s largest private ophthalmology practices, is currently seeking several full-time and part-time Ophthalmic Technicians to join our team. As a technician, you will work directly with the patients and physicians each day, performing tasks such as: working- up patients, assisting physicians while in the exam room, operating visual testing equipment, and other duties assigned on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive attitude, have a passion for patient care, a willingness to learn, and can take and follow direction with minimal error. Great opportunity for students taking gap year(s) to accrue clinical hours.

Additional Information:

Entry level+

This role requires daily use of electronic medical record software programs and computers

Previous experience is preferred but not required

Hours can range from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday

Travel to other offices may be necessary

Must be available to work some Saturday’s each month
